Loggerheads – in a state of strong disagreement or conflict

Example Sentence: The two partners were at loggerheads over how to expand their business.

Extenuating – serving to lessen the seriousness of something

Example Sentence: The judge considered the extenuating circumstances before giving the final verdict.

Miser – a person who hoards wealth and spends as little money as possible

Example Sentence: The old miser refused to donate even a single rupee to charity.

Stealth – the act of moving or acting in a quiet, secret way to avoid notice

Example Sentence: The cat moved with stealth as it approached its prey.

Mime – a performer who tells a story using gestures and expressions without speaking

Example Sentence: The mime entertained the crowd with silent yet expressive actions.

Cloying – excessively sweet, rich, or sentimental to the point of being unpleasant

Example Sentence: The dessert was so cloying that she couldn’t finish it.

Backlash – a strong negative reaction to something

Example Sentence: The new policy sparked a public backlash from citizens.

Subliminal – operating below the level of conscious awareness

Example Sentence: The advertisement used subliminal messages to influence viewers.

Wondrous – inspiring a feeling of amazement or admiration

Example Sentence: The night sky looked wondrous, filled with countless stars.

Abundant – existing in large quantities; plentiful

Example Sentence: Fresh fruits are abundant in the market during summer.
