Decorum – proper and polite behaviour, especially in formal situations

Example Sentence – The teacher reminded the class to maintain decorum during the assembly.

Goofy – silly or playful in a way that makes people laugh

Example Sentence – His goofy dance moves made everyone at the party smile.

Blemish – a small mark or flaw that spoils something’s appearance

Example Sentence – The scratch was a minor blemish on an otherwise perfect phone screen.

Reverence – deep respect or admiration

Example Sentence – The students spoke with reverence about their favourite coach.

Pontificate – to speak in a long, confident way as if you are always right

Example Sentence – He began to pontificate about politics, even though no one had asked.

Meander – to move or talk in a slow, wandering way without a clear direction

Example Sentence – The river meanders through the countryside.

Cliffhanger – a tense ending that leaves the audience eager to know what happens next

Example Sentence – The episode ended on a cliffhanger, so I had to watch the next one.

Altruism – selfless concern for the well-being of others

Example Sentence – Donating anonymously showed her true altruism.

Withdraw – to pull back or remove oneself from a situation

Example Sentence – He decided to withdraw from the competition due to an injury.

Shoal – a shallow area of water or a large group of fish

Example Sentence – A shoal of fish swam past the coral reef.
