Yuri and Srijan from Sharada Mandir wins Safety Quiz


Safety Quest 2019, a quiz competition on safety for all schools across the state was held at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji wherein Yuri Naidu and Srijan Kumar from Sharada Mandir School, Miramar won first place, Adnan Syed and Nikhilesh Rana also from Sharada Mandir School, Miramar won second place, and Sohail C and Reeve Rodrigues from Loyola High School, Margao secured third place.

About 230 students from 45 schools across Goa participated in the quiz. Chief guest for the opening function included Ashok Menon, and secretary, Board of Education, Goa, Neela Mohanan.

Quiz master was Raghav Chakravarthy from Walnut Knowledge Solutions.

All teams went through a preliminary round and based on the scores, six teams were selected for the final round. The winning team members were awarded Kindles and Amazon vouchers of `1000 each; second place winners received `5000 each and the third place winners were presented `4000. The fourth, fifth and sixth place winners also got `1000 each. Each school and every individual was awarded a trophy.

The prizes were sponsored by The Arundhati Foundation and trophies were sponsored by Directorate of Health through the RKSK scheme. The quiz was organised by The Arundhati Foundation and FSAI (Fire and Security Association of India -Goa Chapter).
