Youngsters in law enforcement

The ‘Crocs and Cops Community Policing Unit’ at Verna Police Station launched the ‘Crocs and Cops Junior Academy’ for youngsters from South Goa interested in seeing how the Verna Police Station operates and to observe some of the more exciting aspects of police work.

The academy focuses on the basics of ‘Community Policing and Pro Active Crime Management’. A first-of-its-kind in the country, the academy includes activities such as tours of the police station and partner facilities plus interactions with officers; police discipline drills and fitness; proactive and reactive crime education and tips; understanding forensics and its assistance; community policing and visits with officers to the community; and examination, certification and activity at the police station.
