The new Suzuki Swish is been facing modest response but remains a sturdy scooter good for daily commuting, reports Team B&C

The Suzuki Swish is been facing modest response to its upgraded variant ‘Swish Digital’ that was launched in January 2015. The digital variant has a lot of modern features to appeal to young buyers. These include digital meter with service reminder, dual trip meter and digital clock, a maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres, and steel fender which makes it very practical for every day commuting. The new Swish is also with a large under seat storage capacity of 20 litres and a fuel tank of 6 litres for everyday convenience.

Market reaction to the latest Swish from local riders is that it is a good bike and comfortable for everyday commuting. Maintenance is also economical thanks to the ready availability of spare parts from three dealer-cum-service stations.  Riders are also giving the thumbs up to the stylish blue lens position lamps and multi-reflector lights, attractive blue-tinted headlamps and some smart new body graphics. Intense competition in the scooter segment is the only reason why the new Swish is not picked up as much as it should, according to riders.

Suzuki Motors first launched the Swish in 2013 and followed it up with a revamp in 2014. The latest upgrade to Digital model is to add new features and introduce a   zing quotient in the two-wheeler.

The scooter is available in four attractive colors, metallic silver, pearl mirage white, glass sparkle black and candy dark cherry red. Riding the new Swish with its attractive color scheme and stylish new features will make one stand out in the city crowd, according to Suzuki Motors.

The new Swish has wide and comfortable seats and high quality suspension to make riding on city roads comfortable. It is also a very affordable scooter in the 125 cc segment with a ex-showroom price (Goa) of Rs 54,335. The features going for it are good storage space, comfortable ride and value-for-money.

The Swish is targeted at young male buyers who want a aggressive looking scooter but women are customers too because of the easy handling, says dealer Pradeep Naik, Ashvek Motors, Margao.
