PONDA: A 25-year-old Goa Meat Complex staffer was found dead in his house on Sunday afternoon, informed the Ponda police. The deceased person is identified as Antony Perera, a resident of Barazan, Usgao.
According to the Ponda police, the incident came to light on Sunday afternoon. He had come home late on Saturday night and had gone to sleep in his room. But when he didn’t wake up until afternoon, his family members went to the room to awake him up, but found him in the unconscious state. Soon, he was rushed to the Primary Health Centre nearby through an ambulance, but was declared brought dead by doctors there.
The police said that during the primary investigation nothing suspicious has been found in the case, and added that family members are confused about the incident. Unnatural death case has been registered by the police, and the body has been sent for autopsy at the GMC, Bambolim.
Post mortem will reveal the cause of death in the case, said investigating officer Rohan Madgaonkar.
