Travellers unite

Soul Travelling and Carpe Diem Art & Learning Centre, Majorda hosted an event titled ‘Safarnama Courtyard’ at Carpe Diem, dedicated to ardent travellers, sharing their stories in the form of poems, talks, discussions, music and much more.  The evening saw travellers get together to share their experiences with a largely attentive and curious audience. Yashvit and Prasanna spoke about their Euro Trip adventures whereas Dattaprasad Borkar as a senior citizen had many trekking and marathon anecdotes from various parts of India. Daegal Godinho spoke of his adventures on bicycle along with his friends from Goa to Kanyakumari. Aditya Raj Kapoor shared an outline of his motorcycle trip around the world on a Triumph bike which he finished in 2018. Vipul Upadhyay spoke on his travels as a Gujarati. Manguirish narrated incidents on some of his trips to Europe and explained how in order to travel, one does not need to have a huge budget; with a bit of planning one can reach their travel destinations on a small budget.

The evening concluded with three-man-band ‘Cousins of Carrot’ playing a set of well-known travel music as well as a few of their own compositions. Soul Travelling plans to continue this travel talk series at Carpe Diem and other venues across Goa in the near future.
