Goa Rainbow Trust’s third pride parade, Pride De Goa 2019 attracted a large number of people including members from the LGBTQ community, locals and foreigners. The parade that began at Panaji Ferry Point made its way to Miramar Beach.
Like always, the parade was sprinkled with posters and placards, slogans being voiced out, dances to the tunes of ‘dhols’, a sky of rainbow flags and laughter on the faces of people donning colourful attire. During the march, participants were also seen holding the Pride De Goa banner and a 10-metre LGBTQ rainbow flag. Also seen were president, Goa Rainbow Trust, Chris Fernandes; designer, Wendell Rodricks, and others.
Pride Week in Goa began with a flash mob organised at Kadamba Bus Stand, Panaji and at Mall De Goa, Porvorim. There was also a pre-pride party at The Park, Calangute that included a string of performances curated by Sofar Sounds Goa and a night of socialising over food and drinks with people from across the country and the world.
