The Wipro Earthian programme for schools aims at providing exposure to multiple perspectives within the students’ peer group and the world. There are three themes of exploration – biodiversity, water, and waste.
St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, worked on a project under the theme waste management, titled ‘Use it up or do without – A step towards a zero waste school’. The project was among the top 10 school projects selected all over India for the Annual Wipro Earthian National awards 2019. The school was awarded a cash prize of `1 Lakh, a memento and certificates at the hands of chairman of Wipro in Bengaluru, Rishad Premji.
