A day after declaring holidays from March 23 to March 25 in view of extended ‘Janata Curfew’ in Goa, the state government on Monday decided that skeletal staff should remain present in government offices/departments in order not to hamper the functioning of the state administration on March 23 and March 24.

The general administration department

(GAD) issued a circular in this regard on Monday wherein it has directed all the Secretaries and heads of the departments to comply with the instructions and also issue suitable instructions to attached/subordinate offices, autonomous and statutory bodies.

After the state government decision to extend ‘Janata Curfew’ for three more days from March 23 to March 25 in the state, GAD had on Sunday issued a notification announcing public holiday for three days to all government departments, semi-government bodies besides private establishments.
