‘Repatriation Flight, Germany’ as it read on the two luxury coaches made their way to the coastal villages of Canacona as a part of the repatriation mission on Monday.
The German tourists stranded in different areas were finally collected from Canacona to soon reach their hometown in Germany via Dabolim airport.
Stuck in Goa for the last ten days, the stranded tourists were collected by two luxury coaches in the evening on Monday. As per sources, it was reported that the coaches moved from Agonda to Palolem and all the tourists were seen boarding the buses with a satisfied look on their faces. As the coaches moved in the coastal villages the tourists were also seen waving at the other nationals and locals they saw on the roads
This is a part of the repatriation effort to rescue the German tourists stranded in India due to the lockdown. The German Embassy had obtained permission from the Indian Government to send back its citizens from India wherein the first special flight for Germany had taken off on March 26 from Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi.
