Entries are invited from Goan cooking aficionados for the second season of Mahou Maestra Chef Contest. The contest is organised by Mahou India, the first subsidiary of Spanish brewing major, Mahou Group.
The cooking challenge is being hosted on Facebook and Instagram pages. An online contest it is currently open for residents of Goa, Bengaluru, Delhi/NCR and Kolkata. The contest offers opportunity to cooking enthusiasts and home chefs to exhibit their talent and get a chance to demonstrate their skills on a larger platform. To enter the contest, participants have to prepare either Spanish or Indian Tapas using the new Mahou Maestra Wheat, the first Spanish wheat beer to be made in India, as an ingredient. Shortlisted participants will be flown to Delhi where they will compete for the grand finale on June 8. Winners will get amazing prizes that will help them in their culinary journey.
Ramita Chaudhuri, chief marketer, Mahou India said, “Goan cuisine has a lot of similarities with the cuisine of Spain. The sea food and local tapas make a great pairing with our newly launched Mahou Maestra Wheat. We hope to receive some innovative tapas recipes from aspiring chefs of Goa as a part of the contest.”
Nishant Choubey, celebrity chef is the judge for the contest. “Cooking for me is passion and I would like to invite all those who have this passion to come forward and present their culinary skills and win some great prizes. I am delighted to share the different types of tapas recipes that can not only be paired well with Mahou Maestra Wheat beer but also can be cooked using it as an ingredient. This criteria makes it different from the other cooking competitions,” said Choubey.
