As part of the annual Santa Run organised by Grand Hyatt Goa in association with the Harley-Davidson Owners Group today, over 70 riders dressed as Santa Claus will zip through the streets of Goa
Today, December 22, Goa will witness once again the annual Santa Run organised by Grand Hyatt Goa in association with the Harley-Davidson Owners Group. The event will see over 70 riders decked in Santa attire roaring through the capital city at 9 a.m. sharp. The enthusiastic Harley Davidson riders from across Goa along with their family members will ride through the route of Panaji, Old Goa, Dona Paula and Bambolim between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
“While Grand Hyatt Goa organises several events throughout the year, it is this Santa Run which is always special, and one that we are proud to be associated with,” says general manager, Grand Hyatt Goa, Jaco Le Roux.
The convoy of Santa Claus riders will be joined by children of the charity foundation, Care and Compassion Goa along with a group of kids from Lokvishwas Pratishthan, a school for children with disabilities in Quepem.
“It’s a day dedicated to the children. They write letters to Santa asking for a gift that they would like to receive. And through the charity fund, we make sure these children get the gifts while the balance amount is donated to the organisation,” Le Roux tells us adding that this year the event is going to be bigger and better, with delights such as live music and a lavish spread for brunch on the resort gardens. The morning ride will culminate at Grand Hyatt Goa with an exclusive Christmas celebration for all kids and riders on the resort gardens. “This is now an annual event in Goa, where people should know that Santas will be riding in Goa through the streets to support charity on the Sunday before Christmas,” Le Roux says.
