Pawar brace hands Aivao fine victory

A fine brace from Omkar Parwar helped Aivao United Football Club register 3-1 win over Don Bosco Oratory in the Goa Football Association Third Division League match played at Taleigao ground, on Thursday.

The strong Aivao side attacked from the word go and didn’t give any opportunity for their opponents to get into the game.

The first goal came in the fourth minute as Omkar opened the scoring marking their dominance in the early stages of the game. Aivao doubled the account through Shubham Shiwaikar in the 24th minute as the winners led 2-0 at the break.

Crossing over, Aivao continued their dominance but a quick counter from Don Bosco broke the rival defence and pulled a goal back from Keegan Bast.

Don Bosco tried to get the equalising goal but they couldn’t break the defence. However, Omkar Parwar scored the team’s third in the second half injury time.
