Health Minister, Vishwajeet Rane on Friday made it clear that there is no chance of a tiger reserve to be declared in Sattari. He said that he was not even in favour of the area being declared a wildlife sanctuary. However, he said that he had no objection if a transitory area be notified and afforded protection. Meanwhile, in the ongoing investigation a fourth person was arrested in the killing of the 4 tigers on Friday.
Jyotiba Pavane from Golavali – Sattari who was absconding was arrested on Friday. On Thursday one of his co accused had confessed that they had buried the tigers. However, there is ambiguity about who had poisoned the tigers.
