Mandopa, Zaino settle for draw

Mandopa Sporting Club and Sports & Welfare Club Zaino played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the Goa Football Association Second Division League at Ambelim ground, on Thursday.

It was a see-saw battle as SWC Zaino came twice from behind to earn a draw.

Mandopa took the lead just before the breather through Travis Souza but Zaino came back strongly in the second session and made it all square at the hour mark through Lawren Fernandes.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, Mandopa managed to regain their lead through Presley Gomes. Just when it looked like Mandopa SC would walk away with three points, Dickson Costa came with an injury time equaliser to earn his side a point,

At Duler Stadium: St Anthony’s SC defeated PVC Parra 2-1.

St Anthony scored through Vipul Pednekar and Sherwin Lobo while Waldren Martins pulled a goal back for Parra.
