Soak yourself in the Latino-Salsa spirit as the festival will feature the Chico and the Gypsies, led by Chico, the founder of the famous Gypsy Kings.
Harouna Samake from Mali will lend a touch of world music in his performance while Brooklyn Funk Essentials, as the name suggest is a funky jazz sound, high on energy. Their music is a mix of jazz, hip hop, and funk featuring a host of musicians from around the world.
The Indian contingent is made up of two acts, Nikhil Dsouza and Raghu Dixit. Nikhil is a singer-songwriter who has gained recognition the world over and has recently been signed by an international label.
Ragu Dixit is probably one of India’s greatest independent entertainers. His hit ‘Mysore se Aayi’ made him a household name in India, and his recent international collaborations have catapulted his career multifold.
And the festival is all for a good cause. With a nominal entry fee of `1000 for one day, and `1500 for both days, the whole amount will go towards the work being done by a host of NGOs which the festival supports. You can choose from environment, healthcare, education, and much more. Every musician shares similar concerns and hence will be performing at the festival.
