Snows clinch U-18 Divn 2 title

NAVELIM: Snows FA thrashed Siddeshwar SC 11-1 to clinch the U-18 Division 2 title, at Rosary ground Navelim. Irfan scored five goals while Deston and Milton Fernandes scored a hat-trick each for Snows. Meanwhile, Sesa FA scored a 1-0 win over Dempo SC in the GFA U-18 Football League played at Curtorim ground on Monday. Macazana Sports Club registered a narrow 1-0 win over Velsao SC Club. Frazier Castanha scored the lone winning goal in the second half ensuring a narrow win for the Macazana side.

Chinchinim Angels beat Euro Connexion

AMBELIM: Chinchinim Angels registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Euro Connexion in the second game of the Seven’s Women’s Football Festival organised by Goa Sevens and Ambelim Sports Club played at Ambelim Sports Complex, Ambelim on Monday. Namita Govekar and Velanie Fernandes scored a goal each for the winners. In another match, Black Arrows beat Royal Builders 3-0 in the third game of the Football Festival. Ansiva Vaz scored a hat trick for the winners as she received the player of the match award for her performance.

Goan Warriors outplay Dunes

MORJIM: Goan Warriors registered a 4-2 win over Dunes SC in the GFA U-20 TACA league game played at Morjim ground on Monday. Aniket Agarwadekar scored the first goal in the 15th minute while Siddhart Shirodkar made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. In the second half, Siddha Mandrekar reduced the margin in the 71st minute but nothing stopped the warriors as Sadanand bandodkar scored the third goal for the warriors. Diptesh made it 4-1 while Prakshay S. pulled one goal down for the Dunes side.

Albert Developers, Mahalaxmi advance

Panaji: Albert Developers and Mahalaximi SAL moved into pre-quarters defeating Mulgao Tigers and Sarvi Khandola by 64 and 30 runs respectively in the Betim United All Goa Panchayat level T-20 cricket tournament being played here at Sports Authority ground (SAG) on Monday.

Handi Boys Goa Seven-a-Side champs

PANAJI: Handi Boys Margao registered a hard fought 1-0 win over St. Anthony’s Taleigao in the finals of the All Goa Seven-A-Side Soccer, organized by Young Boys of Aradi, Candolim played at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro grounds on Sunday. The all important goal for the winners was scored by Hanslem Furtado.

Vasco outplay All Goa Veterans

SALIGAO: Vasco veterans registered a 8-7 win via sudden death over Bardez veterans to advance in the All Goa Veterans Soccer tournament 2018 organised by Saligao Sporting Club, played at Saligao Sporting Club Ground on Monday. In the tiebreaker vishant, Shaikh, Govind, Uday, Nelson, Raymond, Santan and Augustine scored on target for the winners while for the All Goa Veterans, Allwyn, Alex, Lawrence, Shailesh, Balkrishna, John and Anand made the mark.
