DBO Fatorda reach finals
PANAJI: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda made their maiden entry into the finals of 26th All-Goa St Annes inter-village festival soccer tournament, organised by Ponda Footballers at Animal Husbandry ground Curti-Ponda. DBO Fatorda defeated Penha de Franca 4-1 via tie-breaker after the match ended in a goalless draw. In the tie-breaker Roque, Roger, Hanslum and Mahadev scored for DBO while Amar was the only player to score for Penha. Raju and Parsuram shot wide. DBO Fatorda now await the winners of Raitura SC and ICSC Paroda who are playing on Monday. The final is schedule on July 27.

Dempo SC trials for Pro League squad
PANAJI: Dempo SC will hold trials to select players in the age group of 18 to 24 years for their Goa Pro League team. Players interested in attending the trials are requested to report at the Duler ground, Mapusa on July 27 at 11 am sharp. Registrations will be done at the ground itself. Players shall report with their full playing kit. In case they are registered with any other club in the Goa Football Association, they are required to bring their Identity Cards. Those who are not registered are required to bring their birth certificate.

Dharwatkar memorial TT begins today
PANAJI: Ramacanta VP Dharwatkar memorial table tennis tournament, organised by Panjim Table Tennis Club, begins today at indoor stadium, Campal here. Players are requested to report at the venue at following timings: Under 14/17 boys and Under 14/21 girls up to quarters (July 21), Under 21 boys up to quarters (July 22) and all semis and finals (July 23).

BPS TT tourney from Jul 28
PANAJI: BPS Sports Club will organise its annual BPS all-Goa major ranking table tennis tournament for boys and girls from July 28 to August 2 in various categories at the BPS Table Tennis Hall, Margao. Events will be held in the following individual categories for boys and girls: Mini- Cadet U-10 (Born on or after 01-01-2005), Cadet U-12 (Born on or after 01-01-2003), Sub-Junior U-15 (Born on or after 01-01-2000), Junior U-18 (Born on or after 01-01-1997), Ladies and Men. All finals will be held on Saturday, August 2 from 5 pm. Players are requested to submit their entries via SMS only to Lenie do Rosario, Nilesh Kirtani or Sudin Verenkar or submit personally to the club office latest by 6 pm on Saturday, July 26. Draw will be conducted on July 28 at 10 am. All the respective coaches are requested to be present for the draw.
