Laxmi Prasad outshine Sesa FA

MAPUSA: Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC trounced Sesa Football Academy 3-0 in the fourth round match of the Goa Professional League, played at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.
Confident after winning their last league matches, both Laxmi Prasad and Sesa FA fielded almost the same sides and played the first session almost on equal footing.
Alber Gonsalves saw two of his goal-bound shots sail inches over Laxmi Prasad cross piece, while Yogesh Kadam blistering strike hit the side post.
At the other end, the best chance for Laxmi Prasad came from the boots of Mackrou Peixoto whose shot at the goal was brilliantly saved by Sesa keeper Reagan Juliao.
In the 10th minute on crossing over, Yogesh Kadam once again saw his curling left footer miss the target narrowly.
It was Laxmi Prasad stopper back Nigerian Chika Wali along with Stanley D’Silva, who time and again curbed the Sesa attack.
Prajot Naik’s 30-yard shot from the left flank surprisingly spilled from the hands of Sesa keeper Reagan Juliao and entered the goal sending the Bardez-based supporters into raptures 1-0.
An unwarranted tackle by Sesa keeper Reagan Juliao on Seriton Fernandes saw referee Elvis Simoes caution the keeper with the second booking and awarded a penalty for Laxmi Prasad. Mackroy Peixoto made no mistake to send substitute Thockchom Singh the wrong way,
It did not take long for Laxmi Prasad to score their third goal that had a class written all over it. A curling free kick by Valerio Rodrigues at the first post was brilliantly finished with a header by Alvito Miranda past Sesa defender and keeper, 3-0.
