Roar Engine, a young rock band, is gearing up for their second performance at \u2018Rock In Goa\u2019, this Sunday<\/span><\/p>\n

With their youthful energy and excitement, the rock band Roar Engine, formed just a year ago is set to take the stage for the second time at \u2018Rock In Goa\u2019 on September 29 at Gawin\u2019s, Verna.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band came together when a group of rock-loving parents recognised the musical potential in their children and other young talents. They decided to form a band, and thus, Roar Engine was born. The line-up includes Emma Dias (8) on bass, Zach Teles (10) on drums, Elaine Quadros and Noah Carneiro (both 10) on vocals, Mark Carneiro (13) on lead guitar, Royston Mendes (16) on bass, and Noah Dias (17) on lead guitar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band\u2019s name reflects their mission: \u2018roar\u2019 symbolises loud and impactful music, while \u2018engine\u2019 signifies energy and drive. \u201cThe band\u2019s name was suggested by our former drummer Parth Kamat, who now plays with the metal band Kodop,\u201d says Noah Carneiro.<\/span><\/p>\n

He explains that Roar Engine plays classic rock songs, drawing inspiration from the retro music their parents enjoyed. They are influenced by famous bands like Iron Maiden, AC\/DC, Metallica, Guns N\u2019 Roses, Megadeth, and Dream Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

And this talented group of musicians is now set to win over audiences with their lively covers of rock classics and their passion for music.<\/span><\/p>\n

For their upcoming performance, the band is excited to deliver an unforgettable experience. \u201cWe want to put on a great show and ensure everyone has an amazing night, or, like the Dream Theater song, \u2018A Nightmare to Remember\u2019,\u201d says Noah Carneiro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on their first performance, Dias describes it as \u201celectrifying,\u201d emphasising the thrill of connecting with the crowd. He adds, \u201cFeeling the energy from the audience was so exciting! We want everyone to have the best time!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Like any band, Roar Engine has faced challenges, particularly in coordinating rehearsals, as the members come from different parts of Goa and are still in school. Yet, their dedication and love for music have helped them overcome these obstacles.<\/span><\/p>\n

While they currently focus on performing covers, the band has plans to write and perform original songs in the future. \u201cWe are expanding our set-list and hope to perform at more shows soon while continuing to share our passion for rock music with a growing audience,\u201d says Noah Carneiro.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 15th edition of \u2018Rock in Goa\u2019 will be held on September 29, 5 p.m., at Gawin\u2019s, Verna. It will showcase a variety of rock bands and musicians, including Bad Blood, Kodop, Electric Pulse, Lost, Eclipse With Zee, Kantte Ani Fullam, and Roar Engine, which is the only children\u2019s band in the line-up.<\/span><\/p>\n
