I buried us and our memories on this day,
Yet they still haunt me, refusing to fade away.
It’s as if you left, but a part of you remains,
Lingering within me, with a love that won’t stray.

I long to stop thinking about it, as it pains,
But another part of me wants to hold on to the remains. It’s hard to move on, when love still feels so real,
Lingering within me, with a love that still sustains.

I never imagined our story would end like this,
With a sorrow that still feels like a heavy mist.
I long to find solace, and learn to dismiss,
The heartache that lingers, and the love that won’t desist.
