After a year of online classes, some of the educational institutes have resumed offline classes. Students share how they feel about coming back on campus with NT KURIOCITY
“It’s an experience in itself, coming back to college feels strange because you have so many different things on your mind with the current COVID-19 situation, and there are the new norms which we are adjusting to with wearing the mask all day long it can get suffocating at times. Being on campus now has a different feel to it as unlike before now you see the changes in the surrounding.”

“Education is a light that has the power to bring a drastic change in our lives. Due to this pandemic we had changed our study mode to an online mode but now some of our colleges have taken the initiative and switched back to offline mode. Offline mode of study is more beneficial and productive as compared to any other mode of study. It also provides a healthy competitive environment to students. The offline study is the best mode for enhancing the concentration level of students. Yes, there are a few disadvantages of offline mode – it is expensive to manage and bear the cost of offline studies, but that’s all worth it in the end, I’m sure that many of us appreciate the offline or our traditional way of teaching.”

“Getting back on campus definitely has back to school vibes for me; I surely missed college life in that one and a half year. It’s been a few months since our college reopened and we have resumed offline teaching, which has definitely reignited the spark in me to learn. The transition from online to offline classes was sure to be difficult but the good thing is that it is a hybrid mode of teaching that includes both online and offline mode, which has made it easier for me to adjust to the new schedule. Hope to end this year on a positive note.”

“Coming back on campus feels great as well as scary, while we can meet our friends, talk, and discuss, the place and teachers are new for the students and sitting in a classroom with constant attention not knowing anyone is a bit tough to adjust to but also fun. With that we can understand better, interact with teachers and have the college or school life we had before or wished for.”
Sharvani Parsekar, Mushtifund Higher Secondary School, Cujira
“I am extremely happy to be back on campus. As a student I’ve always enjoyed interacting with my teachers and peers, and I’ve missed that element in the online lectures. Everything feels different coming back to college after a year, but it’s a good difference. Although there were many benefits to online classes, there were also many drawbacks, such as having to sit in front of the mobile/laptop screen for long hours, and not being able to ask one-to-one questions to the teacher. During online classes we were restricted to just academic activities, but now that I am on campus I can engage in several more interesting activities and thus gain the needed experience. I definitely prefer in person classes to online classes.”
