It’s been over 10 days of continuous heavy showers and with the rains not showing any signs of slowing down, NT KURIOCITY asks youngsters how they are spending these rainy days

I love it when it rains as it feels really calm and peaceful, and is a good time to be indoors and read a good book. It is also a great time to have a hot cup of coffee or chocolate and listen to music. I love to stare outside the window while it rains. I also spend my time doing yoga for my physical and mental well-being. Since the rain is my mood lifter it is sad that it comes just once a year since the cozy feeling the rains bring give me great sleep.

It feels like the rain has decided that if not coronavirus, it’s me who will keep people at home! However, I’m not a fan of the monsoon season so I will say I’m spending these days mostly trying not to get wet! Also as a food blogger I’m experimenting with food! Trying different, fun dishes this season with my family. I hope these rains stop or at least slow down so that people can move out, because stores and shops are already losing business due to the coronavirus and now the excessive rainfall is affecting it as well.

I just love the rains. It’s a blessing for all of us, it brings happiness all around and nature presents itself in the most pleasing appearance. Well, I spend most of my time planting trees, engaging myself in nature photography, trekking and many other things. There is a sort of tradition I follow, I get drenched in the pouring rains and later eat some Goan local street food along with a hot cup of tea.

I’m not a fan of rainy season, but surprisingly it has been quite nice. Its calm and soothing effect helps me write. I spend most of my time listening to music while watching it pour down or pick up a book to read. I’m also craving for Maggi because Maggi and rains always go hand-in-hand.

I am fortunate enough to be a person who never can stay alone or without work. Usually excessive rain puts a halt on everyone’s work but it couldn’t stop me anyways. In the rain I do my usual gardening and planting jobs, but this time I took it to a different adventure by starting a clean-up drive with my friends at Udyar Waterfall, which was littered by irresponsible visitors. As a youth I dream of a beautiful and healthy Goa where every rain is an experience of nature’s blessing.
