PANAJI: The Chief Minster Laxmikant Parsekar has called upon the stakeholders of the corporate sector to supplement the efforts of the government to make the state developed in the sectors of health, education, infrastructure, as their cooperation in these areas will help to speed up the pace of development.
Parsekar was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of the Multipurpose AC Hall sponsored and constructed by Indoco Remedies Ltd for Harmal Panchakroshi Shikshan Sankul held at Harmal Pednem.
Sandip Bambolkar, joint managing director Indoco Remedies Ltd inaugurated the hall in presence of the Chief Minister.
Parsekar also said that investment in education is the best investment which results in yielding multifaceted benefits. Therefore the government intends to create better infrastructure for education sector and provide quality education, he said.
Parsekar further appreciated the gesture of Indoco Remedies Ltd for providing a well facilitated AC hall.
Gajanan Bhat, Director of Education while addressing the gathering said that there is no alternative for education in the present competitive world. He said although the government endeavors its level best to achieve all round development, the corporate sector can extend their helping hand to ease the efforts of the government.
Bambolkar in his address said that every human being has a social responsibility to fulfill. He advised the students to treat success like a journey and not destiny. He said that he was happy to inaugurate the hall on the birth anniversary of the founder of Indoco Remedies Ltd Govind Ramnath Kare.
Parsekar on this occasion felicitated Sandip Bambolkar on behalf of the Harmal Panchakroshi Shikshan Mandal.
Dr Bhaskar Nayak , Director of Higher Education and Salim Veljee, Director of Food and Drug Administration also spoke on the occasion.
Smita Parsekar, headmistress welcomed the guests while teacher Prajwala Sawant, proposed the vote of thanks.
