Due to COVID-19 effect, BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus observed International Day of Yoga through digital platforms with the theme ‘Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family’.
Yoga guru Namdev Chopdekar was introduced by physical education instructor, BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, Chandu Lamani. Acting dean, administration of Goa Campus, professor Bharat Deshpande stated that yoga is a way of keeping one’s body and mind healthy as it brings balance between mind and body through which one can be better at professional work and thoughts.
A large number of students, staff, faculty members and their family members participated in the online session. While conducting yoga session for staff, faculty and students, Chopdekar remarked that in today’s world of mechanical life and polluted environment, yoga is essential to maintain physical fitness and mental health. He further explained various benefits of yoga.
