India Bike Week gears up for its sixth edition

India Bike Week (IBW) is all set to return to Goan shores for its sixth edition on December 6 and 7 at Little Vagator Hills, Vagator.

This year, the festival will feature four entirely separate, timed, bike racing adventures – Flat Track Timed Trials, Hill Climb, Big Rock Enduro Training Academy, and Moto Mob.

Flat Track racing is one of the oldest and most iconic racing formats in the Harley-Davidson kitty. Participants will be provided custom built Flat Track 750’s for this track. The riders with the top three times will be awarded with cash prices.

India Bike Week, in association with School of Dirt will also present an Enduro Hill Climb – one rider, one machine, one hill. The fastest to the top wins. Interested can also learn the art of off-road hill climb from experts and participate to win

exciting prizes.

Enthusiasts can also experience the thrill of ADV motorcycling and get training from off-road experts from Big Rock Dirt Park. Participants will be required to bring their own motorcycle and riding gear. 

As part of Moto Mob and inspired by the moto-mafias of Mexico, the track features stripped down, naked machines that will test the skills to the limit.

Besides this and for the first time at IBW, celebrated bikers like international celebrity stunter,  Rok Bagoros; international freestyle motocross team, FMX 4 EVER; Aishwarya Pissay (the first Indian athlete to win a world title); Rajini Krishnan (the first Indian winner of the Asian Road Racing Championship); and Simran King (the national champion for JK Tyre 1000 CC Category), will be showcasing their talents and coming together at the Big Trip for a session on ‘Careers in Motorsport’ moderated by Sagar Sheldekar.

Apart from these, Candida Louis, Manas Dewan and Anuradha Bhonsale Dewan, Girish Venkatraman, Deepak Kamath, Sukesh Viswanath, Debasshish Ghosh and Dharmendra Jain, and Alex Chacon are a few of the other Big Trip speakers.

KTM Adventure Ambassador, Giovanni Sala who is a six time World Enduro Champion and a master mentor for the KTM Adventure Rallies, will also be flying down and sharing his insights on adventure

segment with the bikers.

Musical entertainment will be provided by acts like SU Real & General Zooz, Ritviz, Pineapple Express, Best Kept Secret along with LYD while the Moto Art collective will showcase some of the various artists presenting biker-inspired art and installations by Bacon & Eggs, Prankur Rana, Mechlogue and Tilak Godwa. Besides this, the all new Biker Mart and Expo will feature 120+ brands. Championship racing motorcycles of KTM from the Dakar Rally, Moto3 and MotoGP bikes will be on display for the first time in India.

Some other competitions in store include the IBW – Bike Build Off – India’s premier competition for customised bikes apart from the Burn Out and Loudest Bike competitions. But that’s not all. There’s also the IBW film festival showcasing some interesting stories of long distance, transnational bike trips on celluloid, the BikerInsta booth, and bonfire at Club Village representing the 200+ riding clubs participating at IBW, and the Collectors Corner showcasing some of the best vintage, classic, large bore bikes in India.

Tickets are available on insider at `2,500 for two days and `1,200 for a one day pass along with an early bird Super 6 package till November 20.
