Even as the search for a vaccine for coronavirus is on, two immunity boosters against the deadly infection were launched in the state by Shripad Naik, Minister of Ayush. The products, Ayush Kwath and Giloi tea are manufactured by Vibha Natural Products, a company founded by Goan  Bhasker Assoldekar.

The Ministry of Ayush has recommended ayurvedic health products to boost immunity. Ayurveda which is a time-tested medical science believes in enhancing immunity to such a level that the virus cannot take hold of the body.

“Both the products are in powder form and are to be consumed by making tea. Ayush Kwath contains herbs and spices while, Giloi Tea contains Gulvel (Tinospora Cordifolia) and it has been known since long for its antiviral and antipyretic properties. Both the products will be available at chemist shops in the state,” said Assoldekar.
