IFFI: delegate registration to commence from Sept 1

The delegate registration for the forthcoming golden jubilee edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will commence from September 1, 2019.

The delegate registration is open for the national as well as international delegates and can be done through online mode only.

The website does not propose any changes in the registration pattern, including the registration fees. Last year, the cine enthusiasts and professionals availed the delegate card for Rs 1,000, while students registered free of cost. Applications of all delegates, who registered for IFFI during previous two years, were approved within 24 hours, while new applications were approved in 48 hours.

The IFFI 2019 will be held from November 20 to November 29, later this year. The 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi forms an important part of this edition of the festival under the title, ‘150 years of celebrating the Mahatma’.

Coming out with this information, the iffigoa.org website states: “With extraordinary films, enticing food and an eclectic atmosphere, we promise an incredible Festival experience for you at IFFI Goa 2019 from 20th November – 28th November.”

The Entertainment Society of Goa, a partner in the organisation of IFFI has also floated tender for appointment of IFFI 2019 art director, as also issued a Request for Proposal for appointment of an event management agency for IFFI Bioscope to be organised at the Sports Authority of Goa Ground, Campal.

Another tender for appointment of consultancy for providing integrated services for renovation/ refurbishment of the ESG Multiplex has also been floated.

The website also carries message of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi: “IFFI is an excellent platform for showcasing the breadth of India’s cinematic excellence to the world.”

Russia is expected to be a partner with the Indian government to celebrate IFFI 2019.
