HMD Global launches Nokia 2.3

HMD Global has announced its new budget Android One smartphone – Nokia 2.3. Titled as the successor of Nokia 2.2, this phone comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen that has a 2.5D curved glass feature. It has a 2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. It runs on Android v9.0 Pie edition which is expected to get an update over Android v10. On the optics side, this phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The front-facing camera supports the face unlock feature. However, this phone doesn’t pack a fingerprint sensor. The device has 2GB RAM and memory can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. Its network features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB support. Expected to be rolled out globally by the end of December, this phone is available in charcoal, cyan green and sand colour options. The price of the device is around $120. Complementing the launch of Nokia 2.3, HMD Global has also announced an Android v10 update for its flagship phone – Nokia 9 Pureview. This phone would be the second phone receiving the Android v10 treatment after Nokia 8.1 in October.

Vivo iQOO Neo Racing Edition has been announced in China starting $370. The phone comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint sensor support. This phone has a 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene. Powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU, this phone comes with 8GB/12GB RAM sporting 128GB storage. This dual-SIM supported phone packs 12-megapixel Dual-Pixel rear camera with LED flash, an 8-megapixel 108-degree ultra-wide lens along with a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera. On the front-facing side, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with Dual-Pixel sensors. Its network features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. The phone has a 4500mAh (typical) battery with a 33W fast charging ability. Vivo iQOO Neo Racing Edition comes in carbon black, Icelandic aurora and electro-optic violet option. The phone will go on sale in China from December 12. There is no news about its global launch as yet.

Huawei has announced Enjoy 10S – a new mid-range Android smartphone in China under its ‘Enjoy’ series. Huawei had earlier launched Enjoy 10 and Enjoy 10 Plus. The Enjoy 10S comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass OLED display featuring a resolution of 2400 pixels x 1080 pixels. Powered by Android v9.0 Pie based on EMUI v9.1.1, this phone packs 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. It features the Octa-Core Kirin 710F 12nm processor coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. Huawei Enjoy 10S comes with Hybrid dual-SIM support and also features an in-display fingerprint reader for unlocking. On the optics side, the phone has a 48-megapixel rear camera with 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front-facing side, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The network features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. There is a 4000mAh non-removable battery. The Huawei Enjoy 10S comes in black, blue and green colours. The prices of the phone start at $255.

Motorola One Hyper has been announced featuring a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LED screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels x 2340 pixels. The phone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. Powered by the Android v10 version, this phone comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. This Hybrid-dual SIM supported phone comes with 64-megapixel Quad Pixel rear camera with LED and 8-megapixel 118-degree ultra-wide lens. The camera supports Laser autofocus. For selfies and video-calling, this phone has a 32-megapixel front-facing quad-pixel camera. This phone has 4000mAh batter sporting 45W hyper charging and supports fingerprint sensor. Network features in the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, NFC, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. Motorola One Hyper comes in deep sea blue, dark amber and fresh orchid colours. The price of this device starts at $399.99.

Vivo V17 is expected to launch next week in India. The phone comes with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with around 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The phone has a resolution of 2340 pixels x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 655 11nm Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. It has 8GB RAM and comes with 128GB storage. This dual-SIM phone comes with an In-fingerprint sensor and has a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The phone comes with Funtouch OS v9.2 based on the Android v9.0 Pie edition. The phone’s network features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS and  USB Type-C. On the optics side, this phone has a 48-megapixel rear camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone also supports 32-megapixel front-facing cameras.
