Goa sees 4 new suspected cases of coronavirus

Panaji: Four new suspected cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Goa on Tuesday. All four patients were quarantined at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, immediately after they were found showing symptoms of COVID-19.

A total of seven patients suspected of having COVID-19 are currently in the isolation ward at the GMC.

Till date, Goa has seen 192 suspected cases of the viral virus.

As per the media bulletin issued by the directorate of health services, 123 samples tested negative for the virus.  On Tuesday, 11 more persons were placed under quarantine; around 1,794 persons have isolated themselves in their homes in the state.

At present, 10 persons have been quarantined at the Margao Residency, 12 persons at Mapusa Residency and 12 people have been isolated at the Old Goa Residency.

Eleven people have also been quarantined at Mayem Residency.
