Goa sees 2 new suspected cases of COVID-19

Panaji: Two fresh suspected cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Goa on Friday. Both patients were quarantined at the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, immediately after they were found showing symptoms of the dreaded viral virus. The health department has sent a total of 56 samples to the laboratory of the Kasturba Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Mumbai, for examination.

According to GMC sources, the 56 samples include 19 samples of suspected cases of COVID-19 from the GMC who are symptomatic and 37 samples from sub-district hospital from Ponda and Margao Residency who are close contacts of COVID-19 positive patients and suspected cases.

The 37 people are asymptomatic.
