The 7th edition of the Goa Food & Hospitality Expo, Goa’s biggest exhibition on hotel and restaurant equipment and supplies which is currently going on at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim, organised by Media Promotions Pvt Ltd, will be open till August 24, from 11 am to 7 pm. This exhibition is one of the biggest in the country due to the number of stalls and the national and international brands which have showcased their brands for the first time in India.
The expo was inaugurated by the chief guest, Minister of Revenue and Information Technology Jennifer Monserrate in the presence of guests of honour, renowned food critic and Gourmand World Cookbook Award winner Rashmi Uday Singh, President of Travel & Tourism Association of Goa Savio Messias, President of Goa Hospitality & Restaurant Association Gaurish Dhond, celebrity chefs Manjit Gill and Vineet Manocha, founder of Antares & The Wine Co. Ashish Dev Kapur, general manager of The Park Calangute Saurabh Khanna, general manager of The Fern Kadamba Rajeev Kumar, President of Culinary Forum of Goa chef Ranjeet Pandey, MD-India EBRO Foods Peter Walker, President of All Goa Shack Owners Association Cruz Cardozo, owner of Kokni Canteen Girish Desai, owner of Black Sheep Bistro & Black Market Prahlad Suctankar and directors of Media Promotions Pvt Ltd Kedar Dhume and Clive Sequeira.
Speaking at the event, Jennifer Monserrate said the expo will immensely benefit the tourism and hospitality industry of the state for driving MICE tourism. She urged the stakeholders to take advantage of this show happening in Goa by visiting and participating in the exhibition.
Addressing the media, Rashmi Uday Singh said that Goa being one of the country’s premium tourism destinations, exhibitions such as these promote hospitality and tourism trade. She further added, “Goa is a preferred destination for national-level seminars and high-end weddings, with exhibitions of such magnitude the state can also become a preferred location for exhibitions.”
Following the inauguration, the guests went around the stalls and expressed keen interest in the exhibits. The special attractions of the exhibition includes display of kitchen and bakery equipment, exclusive cutlery and crockery, food and bakery products, bed and bathroom linen, refrigeration equipment and industrial dish washers, IT software systems, communication and security systems, furniture, fixtures and interior decor, sound and lighting solutions, housekeeping equipment and hygiene products, water and waste management systems and many more products connected to the food and hospitality industry, some of which are displayed in Goa for the first time. There are 100 plus companies showcasing over 500 products including national and international brands.
Speaking about the Goa Food & Hospitality Expo, director, Media Promotions Pvt Ltd, Clive Sequeira said, “People in the business of running a resort, hotel, restaurant, quick service restaurants, spa, salon, casino, cafe, bakery, fast food joint, pub, club, shack, catering business or anything similar, should take advantage of this exhibition.”
