Goa College of Home Science organises workshop on Ethical Hacking

The Rotaract Club of Goa College of Home Science in association with the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera successfully organised the fourth edition of the National Workshop Series (NWS) in the form of a two-day workshop on Ethical Hacking. This workshop was certified by Aakaar, IIT Bombay and Robosol. Teachers and students from various colleges participated in the workshop.

Resource Person for the workshop was Vaibhav Khanderao from Robosol, Mumbai. Teacher coordinator and assistant professor, Bharati Pathak outlined the objectives of the workshop.

Foot printing and reconnaissance, scanning networks, enumeration, vulnerability analysis, system hacking, malware threats, sniffing, social engineering, denial-of-service, session hijacking, hacking web applications, SQL injection, hacking mobile platform, cryptography and capture the flag (hacking challenges) were covered during the workshop.

The workshop ended with a valedictory function. Three participants, namely, Prajyoti Sawant Desai, Arafat Mulla and Nigel Antonio Mendonca were presented with special certificates of appreciation for excelling in the workshop.
