GU men’s kho-kho team advances to fourth round

PANAJI: Goa University men’s team advanced to the fourth round of the West Zone Inter University Kho-Kho Tournament 2019-20, defeating LNPIPE University, Gwalior (MP) 13-12 at SRTM University Indoor Stadium, Nanded, Maharashtra on Tuesday. Earlier in the third round, they defeated Barkatulla University, Bhopal by one innings and 10 points. 

Salai Boys secure hard-fought win

PENHA DE FRANCA: Salai Boys scored a hard-fought 4-3 win against Mix Friends-B in the Porvorim Premier League match, at Penha de Franca church ground, on Tuesday. Munna scored a brace for Salai Boys while Brendon, Amit contributed with a goal each. For Mix Friends-B, Essac scored two goals and Afzal struck once. In other match, Virlosa United were held to a 3-3 draw by Mix Friends-A. Siddesh netted a double and Shubham scored a goal for Virlosa United whereas Sanyog scored a brace and Sarvesh scored a goal in added time to rescue a point for Mix Friends-A.
