Goa 182/7 on Day 1



Goa put up 182 runs for the loss of 7 wickets against Andhra Pradesh on the first day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy match played at GCA ground, Porvorim on Tuesday.

Batting first, Goa saw themselves bat through the first day with Veer Yadav remaining not out on 41 along with Shreyash Usgaonkar batting at 4 runs. Pradnyesh Gaonkar was the top scorer for the Goa team putting up 47 runs after facing 100 balls where he sent the ball across the boundary twice. Veer on the other batting steady, has faced 106 balls hitting two boundaries and a six.

Sanath Nevagi, the centurion from the last match, was not able to put up a big score as he was back in the pavillion for just 27 runs. Captain Arsh Sardesai made only 22 runs while Devankumar Chittem scored 36.

Andhra Pradesh bowler, Gavvala Mallikarjuna took a five wicket haul.
