Department of electronics and telecommunication engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Farmagudi in association with DBEATS organised a two-day state level inter-collegiate technical festival, TECHNOVA 2019.
The aim of the fest was to provide a platform for college students to showcase their talents and innovative skills in a competitive environment.
The fest had 16 events. The technical events were line follower, robo sumo, robo soccer, circuit builders, IoT masterchef, code warriors, chart it out, tech buzz and technical cross words. Skill development events comprised brain jammers, frame it, speak up stand out, sell it out, minute to win it, short film and Gorgon’s gambit.
Goa Engineering College, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, VM Salgaoncar Institute of International Hospitality Education and Agnel Institute of Technology and Design among others participated in the event.
A seminar in collaboration with IEEE on ‘First aid using Electronic Technology’, by Jeedhu Radhakrishnan and his team was conducted wherein he briefed students on first aid and its importance during emergencies.
Chief guest for the valedictory function was CEO of Innovantix, Ryan Pinto. Bringing out the importance of technical events Pinto said such events instil ideas of imagination, thus causing students to think out of the box. He emphasised on the need for students to figure out what society needs, by constantly questioning the status quo.
The overall winner of TECHNOVA 2019 was Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi.
