Garmin India, a unit of Garmin Ltd, (NASDAQ: GRMN) has announced the launch of the Fenix 6 series – rugged smartwatches designed for the fiery explorer gene, says a press note issued here.
Two cardinal features of the Fenix 6 series are a Power Manager for longer battery life and a first-of-its-kind PacePro technology, which provides a pace-strategy to the runner.
A latest addition to Garmin’s burgeoning outdoor segment, the Fenix 6 series focuses on enhancing users’ outdoor experience with special emphasis on mountain biking, golfing, trail running, hiking, hunting, diving or using satellite communication, mentions the release.
“Taking the spotlight with Garmin’s first ever Solar-watch, the fenix 6X Pro Solar from the series, is designed with Power Glass™, a transparent solar charging lens that uses the sun’s energy to extend battery life. This unique solar charging technology is to ensure more on-wrist time for users, increasing battery performance to an additional 3 days when utilizing the solar charging capabilities.”
Because of its unique solar charging technology, users will have more on-wrist time to enjoy their activities, training features, colour mapping, music streaming and much more. Users can quickly check the solar harvesting performance of their Fenix right on the wrist. The battery performance on the Fenix 6X Pro Solar in smartwatch mode is 21 days plus an additional 3 days when utilizing the solar charging capabilities.
