Fight for return of black money will continue, says Ramdev

DEHRADUN:  Yoga guru Baba Ramdev was on Tuesday discharged from a city hospital after which he said he would continue his campaign for return of black money stashed away abroad.

“We want that people with clean background should only go to Parliament and assemblies. We want that about Rs 4 lakh crore black money stashed away abroad should be brought back,” Baba Ramdev told reporters after being discharged from the Himalayan Hospital here.
“We have not committed any sin by waging a war against corruption and seeking return of black money from foreign countries. The fight against corruption will continue with the help of all countrymen till the last breath,” he said.
Forty-six-year-old Baba Ramdev said the movement was started for the welfare of people so that children of poor farmers can also become doctors and engineers.
Criticising the government for the crackdown on his supporters at Ramlila Grounds in Delhi, he said what his supporters faced during that “black night will not go waste”.
“In the corrupt system, there will be a sea-change,” he said, expressing support for Rajbala, who is battling for life after suffering spinal injuries at Ramlila Grounds.
The yoga guru ended his nine-day-long fast on June 11 following appeals by Sri Sri Ravishankar and other spiritual leaders. He had gone on a hunger strike on June 4 demanding tougher anti-corruption laws.  In a statement, Baba Ramdev said injustice being done to farmers and poor landowners in the name of land acquisition should stop.
He also said that education in technical courses like medical and engineering should be provided in all Indian languages.
Earlier in the day, Dr S L Jethani, the medical superintendent, Himalayan Hospital, said, “We have advised Ramdev to abstain from yoga for two-three days and take rest. Once he has improved he can get back to his regular schedule.
“Ramdev’s health is stable. His blood pressure and pulse rate has improved,” Dr Jethani said.
The yoga guru’s close associate, Mr Balakrishna, said, “We will continue our fight against corruption and black money till our last breath… The whole nation is with us. Ramdevji will teach yoga and also continue to
fight corruption.
“We are thankful to the people who supported us in our movement. We are determined to start this movement afresh with revised strategy. But for now he will take rest for about a week,” he said.
