Fairyland HS initiates ‘Green village, clean village’

The Go Green Club of Fairyland HighSchool, Batim organised a tree plantation drive, ‘Green Village, Clean Village’ at St Simon and St Jude Church, Ganxim. Twelve saplings, namely, mango, chickoo and kokum were planted.

The aim of the club was to create a healthy atmosphere. The tree plantation was an integrated project as the students opting for floriculture created a garden around the church area. The edging was created with empty plastic bottles that students collected from shops in the area as a part of solid waste management that has been implemented in the school. Students distributed saplings grown in plastic bottles to the guests.
