GSL conducts training for ITI instructors

GSL conducted its second batch of “Train the Trainer in Multi skill development” recently wherein 21 ITI instructors were given the necessary training. The series of programmes aims to train at least 50 Instructors by year end in multi skill dimensions. The first batch was conducted in September. The chief guest on the inaugural day of the 3-day programme was Adm (Rtd)  Shekhar Mittal, CMD, GSL. Also Dipak Shah, deputy director, Mahadev Murgodi advisor to SITEG, Dr PM Johri chief general manager (HR&A) were present. NT

Honda sells Rs 4.49 lakhs worth 2-wheelers in Oct

PANAJI: Festival purchases are pepping up the automobile market. Honda two-wheelers announced monthly sales of Rs 4.49 lakh vehicles in the month of October.  The company is pointed out to domestic market share of 26 per cent and said that it has grown five times more in two-wheeler industry in April – October 2015 period. On Dussera day Honda sold 19,000 vehicles which is the highest single day sales in 2015, said a company press release. NT

Syndicate Bank observes vigilance awareness week 

PANAJI: Syndicate Bank, regional office, Panaji observed “Vigilance Awareness Week” recently by organising competitions for students at various schools and colleges. Winners were felicitated at a function at EDC House, Panaji.  Bossuet Silva, DSP, ACB (vigilance), was the chief guest and in his address said that various preventive vigilance measures are to be taken for good governance at various levels. Students must be proactive and more vigilant in their day to day life, he said.Syndicate Bank officials Atul Kumar, general manager, Alok Kumar Sharan, regional head and  V M Giridhar, assistant general manager were present at the event which was anchored by Victor Menezes and Janet Pinto.
