Dayne, Derrick clinch impressive wins



Dayne Coehlo was once again on top of his game as he completed a clean sweep in all three races of the RS:X Olympic Class on the third day of the 75 Knots Regatta 2019 being held at Dona Paula on Saturday.

In the windsurfing Masters category, Goa’s Derrick Menezes came first in both the races followed by Sunil Rajani from Goa. While in the Grand Master category Zamir Mirza from Bangalore took both guns.

Atul Lende and CHS Reddy fought back strongly to take all 3 guns in the 470 Class shocking championship leaders Ayaiz Shaikh and Upkar Singh. This leaves the champions wide open going into the final day.

In the Laser 4.7 the first place competition is heating up between Durga Prasad and Sanchita Pant from Mumbai. With just 2 races left on the last day things could swing either way.

Santosh Banoth of Naval Boys Sports Company retook his lead from Akash by winning two races in the Laser Radial Class.

In the Techno 293 Youth Category, Avelino Fernades and Keona Rajani both from GYA took 1 gun each and are tied in the first position. The third race had to be abandoned as winds dropped at the end of the day.

Team Razarbill from Ocean Sailing Node skippered by Capt. AS Patankar and Crew Capt. Donde, Cdr. Abhilash Tomy and Mohan dominated the days sailing in the Masters Seabirds class and took the guns in both the races. They are now leading with 3 wins followed Team
