Curchorem police recover 3 more two-wheelers

Curchorem: Continuing with the crackdown against two-wheeler thieves, Curchorem police have recovered 3 more two-wheelers from a minor boy, aged 17, residing at Quepem.

As per PI Somnath Mahajik, after recovery of 3 two-wheelers on Friday, more information was collected regarding stolen motorcycles and scooters and, accordingly, the police zeroed in on one minor boy, aged 17, and found with him a Pulsar motorcycle without any documents and number

plates.

Upon questioning, he admitted to committing theft of the motorcycle and another 2 two-wheelers including a Pulsar motorcycle and an Aviator scooter.           

Further inquiry revealed that the minor boy has committed theft of a scooter from Colva police station jurisdiction as well. The Colva police have taken the minor boy for questioning in the case.

So far, in a span of 4 days, Curchorem police have traced 6 two-wheelers which were stolen from different areas of Goa.

The police team that traced the two-wheelers consisted of PSI Sitaram Malik and constables Dhiraj Naik and Akshay Pandit.

PI Somnath Mahajik has urged the general public to bring to his notice any suspected vehicle moving around.

Further inquiry is in progress under the supervision of DySP Kiran Poduval and SP (South) Arvind Gawas.
