Curbs on travel in pvt vehicles till March 31



The transport department on Monday issued an order to restrict interstate movement of taxis and also put a restriction on number of passengers allowed to ply in private cars till March 31, to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The order has put temporary restriction on tourist taxis including black and yellow taxis for interstate movement except in cases of medical emergencies.

The department further said that only four passengers are permitted to travel in a private car (excluding children) during interim period.

In view of the need to contain the spread of COVID-19, the state government has sealed the borders on the movement of non-essential passenger transport, including interstate transport until further orders.

The state government has also shut down the operation of stage carriage as well as contract carriage buses for three days up to Wednesday midnight to observe extended three days Janata Curfew to avoid crowd and maintain social distancing against the spread of deadly virus.
