Women’s Week was recently organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI)
Vasco. On the occasion, a contest titled Mrs Vasco Contest for married women at
St Andrew’s Church hall.
The event witnessed around 30 participants from Vasco and surrounding area, as well as the family and friends of the participants.
As part of the contest, participants had to compete in three rounds. The first two rounds included a ramp walk and creative introduction. A question and answer session followed for the Top 10 contestants, conducted by a panel of three judges from the field of fashion, namely, Namish Pinto, Radha Lawande, and Dveep Mulvi Bandodkar. There were impromptu dance performances held as well.
The title of ‘Mrs Vasco Aboli Queen’ was awarded to Pinky
Pauskar Revankar. The first runner-up was Yashu Sharma; while the second
runner-up was Vidya Mahendrakar. Awards were also given for ‘best smile’, ‘best
dressed’ and ‘best hairstyle’.
