PANAJI: Stating that Congress being the responsible opposition party in assembly, party’s state unit spokesperson Swati Kerkar said that the party would seek an appointment with the ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to know the truth behind his ailment as people read and believe only the newspaper reports.
Addressing the media along with Urfan Mulla, Dia Shetkar and Vishal Volvoikar, Kerkar stated that nobody knows about the present condition of the chief minister, while some say that he is recuperating, the BJP karyakartas were saying that he is fine.
Kerkar and others said that “if the chief minister’s health is improving and he is clearing files and signing them, then the Congress delegation should be allowed to meet him.”
“Since we are a responsible opposition party, a party delegation will go to meet him and apprise him of how the BJP leaders and bureaucrats were taking undue advantage of the situation in his absence from office,” they said.
