Panaji: Maintaining that the lockdown is not a solution to check the spread of the dreaded COVID-19, the Congress party on Wednesday asked the state government to come out with an action plan to tackle the COVID crisis.
Goa pradesh Congress committee president Girish Chodankar said the three-day lockdown announced by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is a reflection of a “defective administration”.
“Corrupt & Insensitive @BJP4Goa Govt has turned out to be Murderer of 18 Covid Patients. @goacm must announce Action Plan to Control Virus spread & release White Paper on Covid Pandemic,” he tweeted.
Opposition leader Digambar Kamat claimed that the state cabinet gave post facto approval for 200-odd ventilators on Wednesday only after he (Kamat) pricked the government on the availability of the equipment in health facilities.
“Lockdown announced by @goacm is Haphazard Reaction to our demand of Plan of Action & White Paper on #Covid & definitely not the Solution to control spike in Covid cases in Goa,” Kamat posted on Twitter.
