CM urged to help stranded Assamese, Kashmiris

Panaji: In a series of tweets, two politicians from other states have asked the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to extend a helping hand to the stranded workers and traders of their states stuck up without food and shelter in various parts of Goa.

Assam BJP MLA Ashok Singhal has tweeted to the state Chief Minister Sawant to extend relief to the seven stranded Assamese working at a private resort without food in Dona Paula.

However in reply the chief minister said they have been reached and provided help. In another tweet, the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has asked Sawant to provide help to the stranded Kashmiris in Goa who are left without sufficient cash and any other help. 

“Request @Dr PramodPSawant @goacm to kindly extend help”, tweeted Mehbooba Mufti.

There are also reports on number of people being stranded from different state in Goa but official figures on these number of people stranded and provided help by the district administration is not made available.
