Panaji: Chief Minister, on Monday, said that the government is contemplating to generate ‘additional revenue’ by utilising a part of the 35-crore state-of-the-art multi-level car parking (MLCP) facility in Panaji.
“With the completion of third Mandovi bridge, the premises (MLCP) is now ideally placed in the capital city, overlooking the beautiful Mandovi river along with the magnificent Atal Setu. For optimal use, we are looking at utilising a part of the structure for generating additional revenue through various activities,” Sawant said. Earlier in the day, Sawant visited the MLCP along with officials from the Tourism Department and Goa Tourism Development Corporation. The MLCP has a total area of 14,611 square metres, which can accommodate a total of 465 cars on its three floors, terrace and open space on the ground floor; around 90 cars can be parked on each floor.
