Christopher’s strike sends St Sebastiao into semis

Majorda: St Sebastiao SC, Murida-Fatorda entered the semifinals of Fr Basilo Andrade Memorial Football tournament defeating SCC, Loutolim by a solitary goal played at Musson grounds, Majorda on Thurday.

The all important goal in favour of St Sebastao SC, Murida-Fatorda came off in the 3rd minute when Christopher Borges scored with an angular effort to beat the Loutolim keeper.

Loutolim team tried to come back into play with some smart moves and even as some long shots were tried to find the mark, the Fatorda based team keeper Swizel proved to be a good pair of hands.

St Sebastao SC’s defender Roque Borges was the tower of strength for the Fatorda based team who single handedly contained the marauding SCC, Loutolim strikers who came charging in every now and then to find the mark but in vain.

The other player who impressed for the Murida-Fatorda based team was Niclau Borges who impressed a great deal in the midfield.
